Some of my favorite cookbooks are the ones from organizations where everyone contributes their favorite recipes. Not only are the recipes delicious, it is very interesting to see what types of recipes different people contribute.
This year, I’m creating the same thing for the online community with the Tame the Internet Monster Community Cookbook. The idea behind the cookbook is to collect everyone’s step-by-step how to recipes in one place for virtual assistants and others who set up shopping carts, autoresponders, blogs, etc. Would you like to be part of the cookbook? Here are the details:
- Would you like to share your knowledge with other virtual assistants as well as do-it-yourself coaches and internet marketers (who could become future clients)?
- Would you like to get access to over 150+ step-by-step “recipes” covering everything from how to recruit affiliates to social networking to managing a WordPress blog?
Our goal is to provide a library of “quick training bites” to the VA Community, Do It Yourself-ers and anyone who needs to tame the internet monster (get out of techy overwhelm and start getting things done).
Here’s What We Need:
We are looking for VAs to contribute “recipes” for our community cookbook. The “recipes” are short 1-2 page “how-to” documents that someone can follow to do a technical task. Examples include: How to create a useful Twitter profile, Facebook fan page basics, How to submit a press release, etc. Things virtual assistants do every day.
Here is a list of what we already have. As you can see, we have plenty of room for new topics!
Here’s what is in it for you:
- Contribute 3 recipes and get lifetime access to the cookbook for free. The charter memberships will cost $47 — as we add more materials the cost may go up.
- Market your business. Your name and website will be listed on every recipe you contribute. If somebody needs help beyond the basics on the sheet – you will be the first person they call.
- Help Others Our goal is to make the Internet Monster Tamer’s Community Cookbook a service that truly helps people get past the techy overwhelm and back into the business of helping people.
How To Get Started:
Send an e-mail to meredith@mereditheisenberg.com with your topic suggestions. We will be updating the topics page regularly — so check the topics page before you send. Once the topic is approved, write your recipes and send them to Meredith. As soon as your 3 approved recipes are posted, you’ll get free lifetime access to the cookbook site.
