Beware of Strangers Bearing Virtual Gifts

‘Tis the season of giving… online.

The end of the year can be a slow time for coaches and other service professionals marketing their products online. People are spending time with families and getting ready for the holidays or planning a marketing attack for the new year.

To keep the list building efforts flowing, many virtual businesses offer “free” gifts, trouble is… there is no such thing as a free lunch. The price for the gift is access to your e-mail inbox. Even if you just sign up for 5 gifts — that could add up to 25 extra e-mails in your inbox each week. I recently cleaned out my inbox and unsubscribed or filtered over 100 lists–believe me these can add up quickly.

But, sometimes free can be worth it. Here are (in my opinion) three gifts that are worth the price of your e-mail address.

1. Bob the Teacher’s 21 Internet Marketing Questions Answered This free report is a a lead in to his inner circle mentoring program (I’m a member and it has been money very well spent…). Unlike many freebies which are heavy on theory and short on details, Bob provides solid and detailed answers in his report.

2. Andrea Lee’s Multiple Streams of Income This is 300 page book is the bible for coaches (and other service professionals) who want make money online. She is very generously giving it away for free… Hurry — this download is only good through December 8 (that’s today!)

3. Philosopher’s Notes OK — I have to admit — I am a bit of a personal development book addict. Philosopher’s Notes are cliff notes for the top book – they come in PDF and .mp3 form. They are very well written. They are giving away access to the top 25 titles for free. I’ve been enjoying my free sample…
