Are you dancing YOUR dance…
As part of my participation in the Fat Loss Quickie Home Office Transformation Challenge , I started taking a NIA class. NIA is a pretty woo-woo combination of dance, martial arts and yoga. Although I took NIA several years ago, I started up again at the suggestion of Change Your Chi diva Stephanie McWilliams (who by the way is an awesome life coach…). What appeals to me about NIA is the emphasis on making the movements your own and letting the steps and music guide your body to where it needs to go (I said it was woo-woo).
NIA has become an almost spiritual practice for me. The class whizzes past. I work very hard… and am dripping sweat at the end but honestly it feels like play to me.
Yesterday though, I got a special treat. One of the ladies in the class was 80 years old and she danced beautifully. She was beautiful, not because she was long and lithe or particularly graceful - but because her dance radiated her essence - she had a smile on her face that you could literally feel as you passed her. People talk about following your bliss… this was truly a woman who was in bliss.
How often does that happen? More importantly, how can you make it happen more in your life and in your business? This week, spend some time reflected on what *your* dance looks like and what would bring you bliss? More ideal clients? Fewer working hours? More passion about your business? Whatever it is, write it down or tell a friend, turn up the music and dance…

Hi,
I'm a Pilate junkie and sometimes i do dancing just to unwind my stressful days.NIA seems intresting.love to try it out. Actually i'm good in dancing, i may not call myself a dancer but i love to dance once in a while and i find it totally blissful. I know what you mean when your passionate in doing something you love, it's not work anymore but it's passion and its fun. maybe ill go dancing again. Thanks for sharing this. take care.
I'm hardly a "real" dancer either… but nothing beats just turning on the tunes… Piliates is great… it is soothing to try to isolate those tiny muscles.
