Let's Tame Our Internet Monsters Together…
Get out those whips ladies and gents… there are less than 100 days left in 2009 and it is high time to start taming *your* internet monster once and for all.
An internet monster is anything that is keeping you from having the most balanced, healthy and productive internet business and life possible. For some people, the internet monster is lack of technical skills (if 1shopping cart is your particular monster, go here for help..), for others the challenge is getting and keeping clients, still others need to create stronger boundaries with their clients.
For me, and for many of you, the monster is lack of balance or learning how to take care of ourselves, be there for our families, and grow thriving businesses all at the same time. I must admit, I haven't been great at this. If self-care, business and family are three legs on a stool — my stool has been awfully wobbly since I started my virtual assistant business. I tend to work on my health and neglect my clients (shhh!) or not spend enough time with my daughter (you don't need to be quiet– she knows..).
I am a big believer in opportunities coming at just the right time. This time, the opportunity is Scott Tousignant's Fat Loss Quickie Home Office Transformation Challenge. The challenge is about setting goals and making improvements in your business, in your health (the contest includes some killer workouts that you can do in 10 minutes in your office– I've done them.), and in your life.
Your internet monster can be hiding anywhere… this challenge is a good way to flesh it out.
Here are my big goals for this challenge:
1. To increase my list by 500 people
2. To lose 10% bodyfat (I'm a big girl — I should be able to do this).
3. To get my house and work life in order so that I have weekends and at least three hours a day off to spend with my family (no house cleaning either…)
Do you want to play along with me? Let's support each other in taming *our* Internet Monsters in 2009. You don't have to take part in Scott's challenge to tame your monster with me. Just leave your name and your goals in the comment box (along with your twitter id so I can tweet you). Come on … it'll be fun!

Yay Meredith! Your last goal sounds a lot like one of my goals too. As Scott says, "It's all about balance so no one thing loses out."
Best of luck to you on your journey! I'll be back to help cheer you on that's for sure.
